Philip Bagguley RIP

It is with regret that I must inform you of the death of Philip Bagguley, a member of our community for many years, a one-time lecturer in education in the University of Nottingham and one of my predecessors as Catholic Chaplain to the University of Nottingham.

His body will be received into St Barnabas’ Cathedral, Derby Road, Nottingham at 7.15 p.m. on Sunday 21st April 2013 and his Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St Barnabas’ Cathedral at 1.00 p.m. on Monday 22nd April prior to committal at the Southern Crematorium (Wilford Hill).

We give thanks to Almighty God for his many years of faithful witness to the Gospel as a Christian, a priest, a teacher and a husband, and we ask the Lord to bless Audrey, his widow, and all his family and friends in their sorrow.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Fr Andrew Cole
